Welcome to Dartmoor Legends – The Legendary Trail.
This project has been created with the aim of producing documentary films on the many legends and stories that exists on a particular route across the centre of Dartmoor.
I’ve always been quite attached to Dartmoor and over the years have spent a great deal of time walking, driving and more recently photographing this massive and mysterious piece of moorland.
Having seen so many books written about Dartmoor’s mysterious tales, legends and ghosts, I decided to create this ambitious project by actually making some documentaries on these fabulous stories which have remained in existence for hundreds of years.
The Legendary Trail is a route that runs across the centre of Dartmoor and along this trail I will attempt to bring to you some documentary films which cover some of these amazing stories. Such as The Little Drummer Boy, The Huntsman at Dewerstone Rock and one of the most talked about Legends, the Hairy Hands.
So from 2010 I will begin to bring this project together and will continue to do so until the trail is complete and that a documentary exists to tell the story along this Legendary Trail.
